5 day/4 night tour - trip outline

Take the entire family on a journey along the sunny east coast of Tasmania. The east coast is enchanting - every twist and turn provides another holiday snap. Start at the north east, truly one of the most understated places in Tasmania. It has long stretches of pure white beaches, fabulous geological rock formations and hidden secluded bays. The north east is a genuine utopia for the family to get off the well-beaten tourist track.

Try some surfing or swimming if you dare during the warmer summer days. Take an exploratory walk along Bay of Fires, stunningly beautiful and peaceful. Hugging the coast heading south poke your nose into a hidden waterhole, pat a kangaroo at a wildlife sanctuary, paddle the gentle waters at Coles Bay. Immerse yourselves in the stunning Freycinet National Park, take a walk to the famous Wineglass Bay, picnic on the secluded beaches, and beach comb at your leisure. Spend the day on traffic-free Maria Island, a national park in its entirety. Return to Hobart for your last night of the tour, and sleep in the following morning at your leisure. Your final day allows time to explore Salamanca Market before the finale of a bike ride down Mt Wellington all the way from 1270m to sea level.
